Thread: Rebel Stuck on 4,4,4,4 must I group now? Frustrating...
Read the FAQs and the guides within the FAQs that are stickied up top - just perusing them made me a better pilot. Then go play the ground game for a while. Then come back. Apparently you can solo the lot entirely if you are a little bit lucky and play your cards right, but it's not something that comes to everyone.
And if you're 4444, isn't it just go to Kessel and shoot some ships? Why would you need a group for that?
I solo'd on my second try in my X-Wing going right in and attacking the freighters with guns and protons to disable them, then boosting out and shield shunting each time I disabled one until I was full shields/cap again. After all three were disabled, I took out the fighters then went back for the disabled freighters.
As for the VT-49 part, I concentrated on the fighters and the Nym Z-95s warmed up the VT-49 for me, which made it pretty easy to get rid of the only two guns the VT-49 has and then finish it off.
But yeah, I used reactor overload 3, cap overload 3, engine overload3, and cap to shield shunt 3.
My best way of doing things solo before hiting up other player to group.
Get the best engine, shield, and weapons i can find. Don't worry about cost at this point, money should be very easy to get with some yavin station duty missions. After the first three parts, find the rest in a low enough mass you can fit in. DI really don't matter so much in speed compaired to mass but that is my opinion. You really never need any missiles or chaff, they just mostly take up space. Your reactor can be in the red, and your capacitor needs to be high recharge, don't worry about the energy storage, thats in the next tip,
Get5 ofthe level 3 droid programs that Imps, and neutrals have. They are your bread and butter. Engine Overload 3, Weapon Overload 3, Reactor Overload 3, Capacitor Overload 3, and Capacitor to Shield Shunt 3. They will all fit in a level 5 droid atromech or flight computer (depends on the ship you use). Capacitor to shield shunt will save your life in the hard times. works wonders.
The main ship(s) you have to take over or destroy, disable them first, forget all the other fighters, you can take care of them when the frieghters, or what ever command ship there is dead in the water. I personally always disable the reactor over the engine. that way the shields and weapons don't recharge while your taking on everything else. time reducer is all. If the ship has multiple weapons, take out the reactor first, then take out the guns. Again, the shields won't recharge, that way you not wasting shots on the shields while your taking a few hits.
Up until my exit mission I had never bought or used another faction chip.
Not bragging, but just a fact that I didn't know where to get them at the time.
But it sure makes a world of difference in comparison to not using them.
