Thread: Crimson Phoenix Tier 4

Currently solo'd my way to Rebel Pilot (Crimson Pheonix)4433 (working on xp for 4434) - I'm thinking the next mission is going to be tough to solo so I've been looking for a guide to the remaining tier 4 missions but haven't been able to find one.


Anyone able to help out?


Currently working for Ufwol out of Rebel Outpost on Rori.

The last 2 certainly the last one you will need help for. The Final part of the 4444 exit mission is a huge wave of TIE's, they are ok to kill, but sheer numbers overwhelm a single pilot. With 2 good mates it will be possible. I can't actually remeber the 3rd mission, but with 1 or 2 it should be ok.

I had to use A-Wing to solo 4433 to master. With Engine Overload 3, Weapon Capacitor Overcharge 3, Weapon Overload 3, Capacitor to Shield Shunt3 and Reactor Overcharge 3. Using an Engine at least 96 or more makes it easier. I used Capacitor to Shield Shunt 4 for corvette mission.

Yeah, just got myself an A-Wing for the mission I did last night (capture TIE Opressor). Got creamed in my x-wing, so just loaded up the A-Wing with some spare parts I had lying around just to see how it fared and I completed the mission first go. Of course I couldn't destroy anything (1500 max damage green) but I didn't need to and the manueverability kept me pretty safe. Also only had to use 1 IFF Scramble and 1 emergency shields to make it through.


Now I just need to find a decent shipwright to outfit it properly and I think I'll be able to make it the rest of the way to master alone (although the tier 4 exit mission does sound tough!).


That's one of the reasons why I want a preview of the next mission, will I need to destroy stuff or can I get by just surviving like I did last night?

Now I have a little more time, I can tell you about the exit mission.



It starts with trying to take out a Tie Bomber, but hold on one cotton picking minute!! That Tie Bombers sudenly turned into a Tier 4 Decimator!!


This bit is actually quite easy. If you have a mate in an X-wing, get him to take care of the Deci, it goes down no problem with an X-wing loaded with decent programs. Then Take out the escourt. Then it's on to the tough bit. Holding out through several waves of tier 4 Ties. As I said before, it's the sheer number that gets 1 or 2 pilots, with 2 masters with you, you shouldn't have a problem. It's just a case of holding out. If you can, get hold of weapon overload 3, engine overload 3 Cap overcharge 3 and reactor overload 3, and shunt to shield 3 (this is the most important, it's emergency shilelds, but every 15-20 seconds, a real life saver)as you wont have all the droid levels yet. With these programs (see a friendly frelance and Imp to get the chips) you will be able to withstand the onslaught.



Hope this helps. After that, it's off to see Fishface on Rori, he tells you to bugger off and see old Burkei boy on Doaba Guerfel, 30 ties in kessel, and then the Vette. Bingo, master pilot

That's cool thanks So, you have to destroy that decimator... hmmm... could probably do it in the X-Wing solo I guess but then I'll get ripped apart by the TIE's. Better make some friends I suppose


Anyone got a clue about the mission before that though?

i solo'ed the entire crimson pheonix squadron and the first master missionin a heavy z-95 and solo'ed the vette in a advanced x-wing. i can't remember which mission was what at this point but using a 100+ speed engine in the heavy z-95 with engine overload 3 made it fairly easy, i just stayed at top speed and strafed everything. nothing could stay with me long enough to do more damage then my cap to shield shunt 3 could repair as long as i kept moving (aggressors still suck though).


on the mission where you have to take out the decimator i actually found this to be easy. i just flew in, ignored everything and strafed the deci until i killed it then hit my IFF and went to the next waypoint. the next part wasn't too hard with the heavy z-95 since it's very manuverable and with a 100+ speed engine the only thing i had to worry about was the aggressors. i would definatly recomend using a heavy z-95 over an a-wing though, the extra mass makes it alot easier since you can get a good shield, engine and weapon without much of a problem.

Any shipwright with the right resources can make the heavy z95. If you do a vendor search on your server, I am sure you should be able to find one that way.


The tier4 missions you are referring to can be quite difficult, but I found the trick to them is to disable the waves of fighters and not destroy them. If you destroy them, they just keep respawning which can make life difficult. If you just disable them and leave them, they wont respawn as fast.

I had no problem soloing the tier 4 missions in Crimson Phoenix. I did them all in regular a X-wing and I don't think I had to do any of the missions more then once. I think I died in one of them, but just as I got the mission complete message. They are not really that bad at all, the mass of ties was not a cakewalk, but I think that was by far the hardest part..

Yeah - I pretty much just disable stuff when I'm overwhelmed.


Still want to know what to expect in the tier 4 mission before the exit mission though Anyone??
