Hey all,

What am I supposed to do if I want to mine asteroids? I have been out here blasting asteroids all morning. I am flying a Y-Wing Longprobe with my Mk I Mining Laser and my Starfighter Cargo Hold. Is there any other equipment that I am supposed to have to do this (like a tractor beam)? Will my hold fill automatically if I am blasting one of the sillicaceous asteroids? I am really confused.

I ask this at the risk that everyone will think I am a stupid noob (I got my account less than 3 weeks ago, and I'm already a rebel ace pilot), but how do you mine? I've been shooting this siliclatious Asteroid for forever now, and my cargohold is STILL at 0%. Can someone help me?

You have to shoot at the chunks that split off, they are easy to miss if you are to close to the asteroid
