Maybe this is just a noob question, but uh.. why is my character positioned so oddly in my TIE fighter? I didn't even think it was possible to be in that position in that tiny cockpit orb!

Hoving not experienced your problem, can you elaborate? Screenshot perhaps?

Since I don't have anywhere to upload a screenshot; get into a TIE fighter and look at your character screen.

you mean doing the splits? That happens in all ships that I've seen so far.

Unless yer in a PoB ship like the Y8..then you just look bad. On plus side..if you along for the ride and the captain's a chick in a skirt...mmm

I think the devs just assumed that the seatign position for a ship woudl be like that of a creature mount. Seems to eb the same. Why they didn't go with a speeder seatign position i dont know. /shrug

or the normal chair position, as you sit in a pilot seat, not astride it like a mount/bike

In the POBs, they've fixed this that I've seen. In Sorosuubs and the Nova Courier, a pilot appears to be seated normally from the perspective of someone standing in the cockpit near him. On the examine window, you can Control-1 twice, and in the little window to the upper right, you appear to be on an animal mount. Its always like that in the fighters.

what's funny is if you do ctrl 1 until you target your ship, then do /examine, you'll see your feet sticking outta the cockpit lol

I wonder what effect /dismount would have in space

says you cant dismount while piloting or something
