I'm new to the game and am currently working towards getting the YT1300 in the Freelance tree. At some point I would also like to get the Jedi Starfighter. Once I drop the Freelance tree and start the Imperial one will I still be able to still fly the YT1300 or do you have to maintain your master Freelance at all times to pilot it?

Ship certs are tied to the box, drop the prof and you lose the cert. However, you can be a freelance PILOT and be Imperial on the ground and get the JSF. Any pilot with at least 4333 can pilot the JSF. You just have to be ground Imperial to do the quest.

Along those same lines, do you have to maintain the Imperial status to be able to pilot starfighter?

im not familiar with "re-deed". could you please explain how itworks and why it would cause a problem in this situation or any other situation with a ship tied to a faction?

When you pull the trigger and the red skinny things come out of the front of the ship and go Phh-too Phh-too, that's re-deeding. You might want to avoid it.

lol, seriously though, re-deeding is when you take all the components out of a ship (you can't do that with your starter ship of course) and you choose re-deed from the radial menu after right clicking the ship in your datapad. The ship dissapears from your datapad and won't be found on the starship terminal any more. It is now in your inventory as a deed and can be traded. Unlike blueprints, you will not need to see the chassis dealer before using the deed and putting the ship back into service.
