Thread: Vaksai Missions

I'm thinking of going to Kashyyyk and start the Privateer missions to get a Vaksai ship. Anyone do these? What can I expect from the missions in the way of difficulty? I'm a 3433 pilot right now. Thanks.

As a 3433, quite a lot. Wait until 4333, at least. No sense in doing the quests for a ship you won't be able to fly.

Why not wait until Master so that you can go to DS and repair your irreplaceable Vaksai when it gets damaged? That's my suggestion, and what I did with my heavy X.

Corrected. There's nothing irreplaceable about a Vaksai. If you can find someone with a deed that's willing to sell, bam zoom there's your new Vaksai.

I have done the privateer one and the imperial one, gotten both schems, but obviously since i am a priaveteer, i can only use the valaksi..But who wants to use that piece of junk when you can fly the jedi star fighter 
Anyway, they are really easy quests. Only thing you might have a problem with is the last mission, but i would agree with Kayl. Wait until you are 4333, get the tier 4 black sun ship whatever its called. With 190k of mass you can put on some good lasers, but more importantly get the badest trops, or spacebombs you can get. I use space bombs mark 2, it can only hold 4 bombs at a time but this mission only requires you to kill 4 sub systems. With space bombs mark 2 i can knock out one subsystem with one bomb, which means
1- turret 4
2-sheild
3-secondary sheild
4-engine/reactor I think its the engine, but it depends upon which mission
Anyway, once you done with that, just kill the pesky fighters attacking you one by one, and if you want to be stupid take on the gunships. But honestly i never do as they dont give out enough firepower to take down the corvette

Wait. You have to disable a Corvette, then it gets jumped by the Uberest gun boats I've ever seen. If you do it right you don't really have to mess with the gun boats. But still man, that Vette will eat you if you're not up to it. If you where up to it you'd be an Ace already.
