Thread: Endless mission... bug or intentional?

I'm 4434 Smuggler's Alliance Pilot. When my exp was about 640k I took a mission from the female Rhodian in Dathomir. It was consisting of some missions that started at Dantooine space, then to Tatooine then to Endor. When I was doing the mission in Endor, I had to take over a Valarian Freight and escort it out of the system. Guess what, I've been doing it for about an hour endlessly. So I thought it was only a duty, not a mission. However, when I landed on Dathomir, I got a notice that I failed it. Is the escort a long mission? I've been escorting it for about an hour or so, which I found unusual. Usually it takes only about 20 or 30 minutes tops. Is this a bug or really a pain in the neck mission? I'm about to do it again as I've got enough exp to be 4444 pilot. But I wish if any of you have any soft of confirmation or have had the same experience, I would appreciate if you can share it here. The last two or three escorts in Smuggler's Alliance are just...ungodly long. Sorry mate, have to slog through them.
I always wonder what the devs were thinking about when they did that. It's not test of skill, since you can usually keep up very easily with the spawns. And it's definately not fun.
With my previous masteries, I finished the last SA duty with the full 7.5mil xp banked, it's just wrong.

Holy crap, this is what I was afraid. I started it about an hour ago and it didn't even show any end 
Oh well, thanks for the clarification. So now I have to sit here again for another hour *sighs*

I was mastering SA along with a friend. We'd do one, then the next. That pair of missons just plain sucked, took forever to get both of em done. At least on the 2nd time we knew what we were in for.
