So, I tried this mission last night. Like most of the rally hard ones I got to the end (Or what I thought was the end) anyway, I I escorted the freighter, got the data and then got to the Lambda shuttle. Then the waves of fighters started coming, I was too busy flying yo see how many actually came in, but I figure I had at least 7 waves that I disabled/destroyed.

Is there an end to the waves or some other victory condition that I don't know about? If I'm missing something I bet I have to have cleared my screen and be a certain distance from the shuttle for a certain time.

Tier 4?

Sounds like a delivery mission where the waves won't end until you get to the rendezvous point. In fact, same mission where I found this out for the first time, and fought them for over an hour (good xp though!).

Common tactics:

- Disable 2 waves, boost to the target and dock.

- Hyperspace to another sector (super cheeze) and then proceed to the docking location

I've gotten to the rendevous point, the Lambda shuttle comes in and says "We'll be ready for you in a second" and then I never got a message saying they're ready. I might have missed the message since I turn off system messages since I find them annoying and they ones I want to see are always scrolled off by "You looted 1 credit, got 1 xp and a crappy tier 10 engine".
