hey all. i am new to the pilot aspect of SWG. I am trying to train as a Smuggler Alliance pilot. I completed a mission for Dravis and now have 7600+ space combat xp. (I also have nothing but the novice pilot box.) I would like to train in one of the tier 1 boxes. However, when I talk to Dravis he just gives me a new mission without the option to train. Even if I drop the mission and converse with him again I simply get a new mission. Is there something special you have to do to get trained from these pilot trainers? thanks!

There's a rundown on every tier and how missions/xp work in the FAQ, but the answer for you is that in tier1, you must finish the 4 missions before you can train.

Welcome to space.

Sorry maybe a little harsh, but space isn't like ground where XP means everything, you have to do teh 1st 4 missions for any tier 1 trainer before you are allowed to train.

And tier 3 is ALL missions, not XP needed.

Also, you will need to consult the FAQ about a couple missiosn you need to do to be have access to your tier 3 trainer at Jabba's. Be sure and do the BEFORE you hit 2222, or you will have to do most of Jabba's themepark to have access to Jabba's throne room where the tier 3 trainer is.

Don't the first trainers have a "What about training?" option during your dialogue wherein they will tell you that trainig comes after you finish the missions?

If they do I did not see it. As soon as I got back from 1 mission I was hooked up with another. Thanks for the help guys...I appreciate it. Space is a good time. lol
