Thread: I'm not complaining but... whats up with the looted weapons lately?

Anyway, has there always been that frequescy of Weapon loot in these places? When I first started the game, the lotted weapons were few and far between ( at least for me), and what I usually got was the kind you sell without a second thought.
I'm placing these gems in my Deposit Box at the Bank, and the very best will go on my POB's when I get my Master Box. I've been looting some other components as well. Capacitors, Shields, Engines, and other things. They've been so good lately, I'm not getting to sell many looted items.
Is this secret Love form the Devs, or has it always been like this?

Same, looting weapons/engines for me is few and far, far between, and even when I do odds are its something I cant use (not level 8 or 10).
Drops vary, greatly. Typicaly weapons are a semi-rare drop, while boosters and Caps are common. Also, the most valuable level range for boosters, for me, atm is... lvl 4! Caps are low as well; 2 or 4. 6's... so / so. But, I can fly fine with a 40+ recharge and pool of 1200 or so. I KNOW i'll get 42+ and 1400+ with a lvl 6 cap, but, for adequate energy pools, and low mass, 2's and 4's work perfect.
1's -3's and 4's for reactors.
Weapons... Weapons, Shields and Enginesare pretty much the only components I actively search in levels 6 and above. Weapons I go for 6, 7, 8, and hold onto 10's. I've not yet RE'd a lvl 10. I don't sell them, I don't destroy them. Just save them. I don't fly POB's yet, when I do, then I'll start looking at lvl 10 components. Until then I just save them.
I've found enough weapons to RE about half a dozen lvl 7 weapons, and almost the same number of 6's. I've build two lvl 8's and have almost enough to do another but, the two I have are good enough to allow me to be very choosey about the next. I should have been far pickier with my 6's and 7's. Having a .310 refire on one low damage 7 and a .39 on a High damage model... gah! just shows poor planning and impatience on the part of the Ship Wright. Me! Currently I have One component analyser filled with lvl 6's and one filled with level 7's (10 each), with more in chests, just waiting for the perfect drop to round out the weapons.
So, yes, I think loot drops are acting fine. I could wish for some of the PYR loot engines some are getting but, those who seem to be getting all these drops also seem to be the ones putting in more than average amounts of stick time, that makes sense.
This is how I would rate my loot in deep space:
Common: Armor, Boosters, DI's, and Reactors
Uncommon: Capacitators & Shields
Rare: Weapons & Engines
