I seem to be having a problem with my faction in space. I am a RSF ace pilot and i can only shoot Imperials while in kessel. I guess it started when I went to "Last Nav Station and declared as rebel to enter deep space then left to go to kessel to help a guildmate kill a vette. Well after we where doneI landed and launched again and i could no longer shoot imps again like normal. Thinking everything was back to normal I proceeded to space mine and do missions from the stations. then i decided to go back to Kessel and shoot some rebs. Well onceI got there I found that I couldn't shoot any rebs but all the imperials where red just like whenI helped with the vette. has this happened to anyone else and if so is there an easy fix?

I'm not sure, but have you tried declaring at the Imp station? I have a few RSF guys in our guild and the really cause us problems trying to get master
But you may be able to declare at the Imp station to go back.

You can not declare at an Imperial Station unless you are an Imperial. Since the OP went to DS as a Rebel, he is either RSF/neutral or RSF/Rebel.
There has been a Deep-Space-overt-in-Kessel bug at least since Kessel was changed from PvP to PvE. If a Freelance Pilot takes a ship to DS and then to Kessel, whatever faction was used in DS will be 'carried over' and be used in Kessel. In this case, going to DS as a Rebel means acting kind of like an overt Rebel in Kessel afterwards (not PvP enabled, but Rebel for NPC fighting).
The only known fix is to redeed the ship.
I've lost countless paint/texture jobs on several ships to this little bug.
Shona.

Ta for that. It's useful to know for my guildies. I'm glad I went Reb, a lot less hassle having to just bother about Ties and IMPs

This actually happened to me after my first squad, as Smuggler's Alliance. I decided to go overt to DS as an Imp, to shoot some Rebel targets for fun.
I discovered another fix for it though. I found that I could correct it by coming out, and then flying to DS as Rebel (changing from Imperial Overt to Rebel Overt) and all was well for me in Kessel. It did spend 30k prestige, but in Kessel, that is earned wicked fast.
Just try this, and it should correct the issue, but you will be overt Rebel until you change it back or re-deed the ship.

I don't consider that a fix to the bug, as it simply flip-flopped which faction you were in Kessel rather than clearing the flag. As an SA or CorSec Pilot, you should have the option to shoot either Imperial or Rebel NPCs in Kessel. If you have been to DS in the ship and not redeeded it, then you lose the choice, one way or the other.
