How do you handle the please-take-me-up-in-the-back-of-your-aggressor-for-xpcrowd? I tried explaining that you are just cheating yourself out of learning to fly and that just because you get 4-3-3-3 and a JSF won't make you good in space. At 1 million xp per box, and only half xp for having a guy in the back while flying a ship with just one gun, that is the equivalent of asking me "hey, can I waste 2 hours of your time?". I really am trying not to be mean to this guy, but what should I do?

Say "sorry, I don't own an Aggressor, and all my ship spots are already full with nicely kitted out skips".

Heh, I like this idea.
Then there's always the launch them into space, park at the station and go AFK for a few beers and some lunch.
Chances are they don't know the command for getting out of the ship.

He knows I own one already because he has seen my flying it.

1) Load 'em up
2) Go to DS
3) Go AFK
4) Pop in a long movie and have a beer....

Ugh... why would you fly one in the first place? LOL
I was trying to see what kind of loadout I could have with one. It actually worked pretty well, it was like a heavy TIE with extra armor (it made a fairly good dogfighter and I happen to think aggressors look cool).
I think the devs should implement a solution to situations like this. For multiplayer ships, remove xp for the guy in the turret unless he actually hits something.

That wouldn't be fair though. Everyone knows you can't hit anything in a turret.

Then why would anyone take someone in the back of their aggressor in the first place? That's right, to grind xp for them. So I say we just remove xp for 2 player ship gunners unless they hit.

Ok, kidding aside, here's my honest answer: Tell this person you'll fly WITH them, not FOR them. Period. AFK grinding in space is lame. You fly your ship, they group with you and fly theirs. You can be helpful by disabling some of the enemies, and letting them get some exp that way, but certainly don't let them get away with doing nothing at all. If he doesn't want to fly he shouldn't be a pilot. Just take the skill to get a novice ship and free point-to-point travel if that's all he's interested in.

Oh I just noticed you said he wants to sit in the gunner spot with no gun installed in the turret?? What a bum. Just tell him no. That's not being mean.
