do higher nuimbers for pitch and yaw mean your ship performs better? becasue i just got a new ship nd instlaled a 60 ish yaw and pitch engineinto it and it turns worse than my starter ship at high speeds or is this just casue i'm moving fast?

they effect how fast your ship can turn, however each ship has its own speed and turn ratings, which combine with the rating on the engine to determine the final stats, so your new ship has lower turn ratings than your starter ship, i assume your a rebel pilot and you are flying a y-wing, correct?

close but no cigar there, nope its a dunelizard style 2, so does my speed maybe have something to do with it? i mena i'm flying at an average of 525 max and in my starter i was lucky to break 390. i know its harder to turn when your cruising but still i thought i wouldnt have to slow down all the way to 250 ish to do a tight turn, i was kinda hoping for around 400 ish to do a tight turn

but still thats only like 200 ish man, thought an engine with higher yaw and pitch rates would allow me to turn at faster speeds

Well, as a former privateer, I can tell you that the Dunelizard is a great ship. It sounds like your engine is just sort of so so. One thing you will notice though is that the Syck has one of the best PYR rates if not the best PYRs of all the ships. Thatis probably part of the reason you are noticing it. I am assuming you are either 2111 or something like that. One thing to make sure of is that the next time you train, if you already have not done so, is to train components first. You can use that Dune all the way through Tier 2,3 and 4 if you like. Also try using the Engine Overload 3 program. You will notice a huge jump in performance with that. Clear Skies...

The other ships are really a matter of personal preference. They have more mass, of course, but you will lose performance with the bigger ships. I personally prefer the smaller, faster fighters. (One of the reasons I am now a Rebel Ace, is to fly the A-Wing.) The Ixy is actually pretty good ship when you compare performance vs. mass. If you are going to eventually fly a Rihxyrk or a Krayt, you may want to try out the Kimo as it flies more like the bigger ships. My problem was that I got use to the fast agile fighters and then didn't like the "feel" of the bigger guys, even with the added firepower. One thing that I can't stress enough is how good your components can be if you collect them and have them reverse engineered. That can really make a difference.

I'm still using my Dunelizard at 4333 - it's a great little ship! It's hard to adjust to using it after experiencing the manoeverability of the Scyk, but if you load it with both weapons it makes incredibly short work of most ships up to tier 3.
I've tried using the other ships, but the ixyen and kimo are too slow for my liking. I've only just got the Rihxyrk, and I don't have enough parts to warrant using it - all my stuff still fits in my Dunelizard with space to spare!
The ship that I wish I could use more is the Kihraxz, as it's super fast, manoueverable, and looks pretty cool. I'm currently doing lots of tier 2 (I have to use a different trainer, and the Tier 3 guy won't give me missions.
) destroy missions in order to build a nice colletion of loot to RE.

I personally liked the Kimo... The extra guns really allow you to pack alot more punch than the dune, and although it does not handle as good as the skyk or dunelizzard it still handles pretty well compared to other ships... considering the extra gun slots and extra mass the Kimo gives you comparativly. I used that till I got to tier 4 and then i loaded my stuff in a ryx.
Thats my style though... I prefer firepower over manuverability... to a point. If you find a freindly imperial trade him a droid module for engine overload 4... it makes manuvering at half throtle less painfull.. pluss when you staighten out you can catch up to almost anything.
