Im almost an Imperial Ace Pilot and have some money saved up (since I know these things cost alot) and wish to buy a KSE Firespray. What sort of stats should I look for when my shipwright builds it? Including mass and chassis. Also whats a reasonable price to pay for one? If there ARE any shipwrights who would rather take this job of building me one on the Eclipse Server, send an in-game email to Aharx Pasari. My guildmate is a shipwright but Id be more then happy to get someone else to do it as well. Also, is the Firespray a multi-person space craft, ie, can you walk around in it?

I'd recommend looking for 212K+mass. Cost would be dependant on your server. It is a single person heavy fighter, so no walking around inside it.

What to look for when buying your KSE Firespray Deed:

It should read Deed for: Bebullab-22 Starfighter.

If you get one that reads: Deed for: Kuat Systems Engineering Firespray Patrol Craft (or something to that effect), have it decoded by a Master Pilot and you'll see what it really says is: "I'm a really big target, give me more wounds, battle fatigue and component decay, please."

If you want it for RP purposes, great, I hope you enjoy it. They look very cool and sound neat flying. If you want it for its abilities, well, its a big piece of junk and the easiest PVP kill you'll see this side of a POB ship.

lol dam. both posts are steering my mind from it. I thought Id at least be able to walka round and take people in it, and I figured it would eb a good ship with all the mass and what not. Ah wellMaybe someday Ill buy one anyways just for the RP purposes.

It is a good PvE ship, its not Uber PvP but dispite the rumblings of many people on this forumit does work well in PvP with practice and determination.

Unfortunately, no amount of shields and weapons can, at this time, make up for hits HUGE target box. I'm hoping in the future they balance out the heavies like the B-Wing, Firespray and POBs against the little killer ships, like the Bel and the JSF. I took on a pilot who knows how to get decent RE, is a good flyer and had a well outfitted Firespray this weekend in DS. No matter what, I couldn't miss him and when it came into turns, no matter how hard he juked it, my Bel had a fire bead on him the entire time. The 2nd encounter I wasn't trying to kill him because we'd be chatting, and he managed to complete a hyper he started before the fight, but I could have squeezed off at any time he was trying to fly evasive and ruined his jump.

But they look cool!

Agreed that its not impossible, but its at such a severe disadvantage that it doesn't make it really worth it. I would love to be able to take my B-Wing out too, but a "Great" Pilot in a B or a Firespray is going to be at a disadvantage against a "mediocre" pilot in any of the smaller ships. That can be fun for ego purposes, but only if you actually manage to win.

You would do ok in any PVE though, yeah.

LMAO. I love this description. I had wanted one, but perhaps I will stay away as well. I do like my Vaksai, so maybe I will stick with that.

Stick with the vaksai or even a krayt. they just aren't worth the 6+ mil when you can get a krayt that has about the same mass, better turning and more firepower (and they cost less than 1 mil).

Yeah, think of it this way: If you pay 6-8 million for a fighter and die outside Deep Space, then you are probably costing yourself anywhere from 500k - 1 million in chassis decay per death. Worth it?

there is no decay in deep space so you can always jump to deep space to repair, but rarely do you ever die becuase your ship is a firespray in PVE once you have flown it enough.

It's a fun ship, not a PVP ship but still fun to just PVE in

I loaded mine with 2 lv10 guns and it's a blast. Some of the smaller ships are faster but to me I like the power of the FS in PVE. But I only PVE and jump to DS to repair, my engine is fast enough so he uber leet PVP griefers never catch me
