There is a command to launch an imitation missle. The thing is a command pilots can do to launch a fake missle, and it makes all the sounds and flashes to the target as a real missle. Can you tell me what it is? I used to know, but after times of not going in space I've forgotten.

Spamming this on people gets you some of the funniest responses. Though the bets response of all is seeing the countermeasures launch.

spamming this on people is considered harrassment I believe because of the lag it causes. not to mention blindness if it hits you head on..

Ok while I admit it is funny to pop off a few a n00bs just to watch them freak. The amount of people useing them in PvP as "Lag bomb FTW!" makes me sick.
Cheap, lame, and weak. They need to pull it, or turn it into a real pilot comand. As it stands you can get them off at a rate of one per sec.

What I loved was handing two doubleteaming guys who were using it in conjunction with REAL missile shots their asses on a platter.

Someone did that to me last night. Luckily, those fake missiles did no damage while my RE'd reward guns did plenty.

Yeah, someone used it on me in DS the other night, right before my blasters put a big hole through his cockpit roof. Really an irritating command and completely bypasses the whole normal missile->countermeasure dynamic.

If they just removed the Missile lock on the targte it would be far less of a problem, but if they do any effort to "fix" it it will likely just be removed.
