I logged in this morining to try to finish off my 4433 Freelancer pilot with some of the double xp. I never even found out if we are getting double xp because my weapons were not operating properly. I have two fairly low drain weapons and let them sing when someone is in my sights. The only problem was that each weapon shot once...then nothing. I had to retap the trigger every shot. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I trip an option I do not know about? I quickly jumped out of a mission I usually do not even think about because I was able to sustain any type of rate of fire. Hard to get ANY exp when you can't get your kills.

Please respond if you have faced this before, if this is a known post - CU bug, or I just need to adjust an option somewhere. Thanks.

Remap the joystick trigger and it'll work again

The CU reset alot of peoples flight config to default settings or completely random settings so just check in ctrl O, then keymap etc.

I just logged in to try that and it didnt work for me. Remapping the keys on my joypad had no effect. Got any other ideas?

My trigger is mapped to fire weapon group 1, able too hold it down for autofire.

I just remapped my stick keys too. Nothing happened. I am still one-shotting it. Let me know if this gets figure out. Thanks for the replies though.

Thanks to the help of no one I managed to figure this out on my own.

Some how whenever the CU hit the space ui action changed a little. When JtL came out I mapped my Joystick trigger and button3 to Fire Weapon 1 and Fire Weapon 2, respectively. After the CU, I had not changed anything on my keymap and the weapons were not repeat firing like they did pre-CU.

Yesterday I was messing around with the keymap options trying to learn how to use my mouse again (yes, I had given up). My mouse button1 was default "fire and cycle weapons groups"(or whatever it is called). From experience, It was hard for me to only disable a ship when I had both firing at the same time at funny intervals. So, I went to Fire Weapon 1 and bound mouse button1 to it and bound Fire Weapon 2 to mouse button2. Funny thing happened - my mouse started only firing one shot.

Then I bound Fire Weapon "Group" 1 to my mouse button and it started cycling fire again. I bound it to my trigger and continued on with my other weapons. My joystick is working properly again.

IF you are having this problem (I doubt anyone is, since no one else spoke up) What ever buttons you had bound to "Fire Weapon X" remap them to "Fire Weapon GROUP X". Make sure you have the weapon you want in the corresponding weapon GROUP. Why not just leave it like it was...I don't know. I am through complaining though because I figured it out and can fly again. (To bad I missed out on double xp week in space take care everyon.
