Thread: Firing Secondary Weapon

Hi folks,

I'm a tier 1 neutral pilot with a Dunelizard. I've 2 weapons equipped, I'm definitely certified for both and my reactor energy output hasn't been exceeded. However when I'm in space only my primary weapon fires - I click mousebutton2 for my secondary weapon and nothing happens.

This isn't causing too many problems right now but I would stilllike to know why this isn't working - any ideas?

PS I'm a complete novice at this pilot lark so feel free to laugh and point if I'm missing something obvious.

Cheers

Did you try another weapon in that slot? You may have a bugged weapon.

I know that you can fire the weapons independant of each other by the #1 and #2 keys on the keyboard.

I ran into this when I had two of the same type of weapon. It ended up that was how they grouped. So you might want to check the weapon grouping, make sure that your second weapon is in group 2.

push G to get grouping to appear, now make sure both weapons are grouped, so they fire together...

By default the 2nd mouse button is use to fire missiles. if you dont have any missiles then it does nothing.

Weapons can also be fired from the keyboard. Hit the '1' key for weapon one (group one) and '2' key for weapon two (group two) and so on.

You can use the 'g' key to modify weapon grouping.

You can also set up your keys to fire weapons. You have to be in space to access the Keymap for SHIP and TARGET to set the keys. So, if you have 2 weapons, missiles and counter measures, your mouse may not have enough keys to do all this.
