Thread: What components do you put ina 60k mass ship?
An Xwing could pretty easily fit crafted engine, shield, and 3 weapons for your cert level (7 is the closest SW lvl to the tier4 Xwing). This should be your baseline for performance.Saving your reward gear until it can be reverse engineered to lower its mass is the most prudent thing to do.
Some other mass saving tips:
A low lvl reactor, and running the reactor overload program. A lvl1 crafted reactor saves significant mass, but if you cant get enough power from one, then try to find good level 3 loots and get it RE'd
Looking for Level6 loot guns and getting them REd is one of the first things you can do to shave mass for heavier reward items. These are probably the most efficient weapons in the game, when it comes to a mass/effect ratio. Not hard to find for RE purposes either.
Your Level6 reward engine can become up to 4500 lighter with a good low mass engine in the RE mix. take some extra time to hunt for one 10k or lower pre RE.
As with your reactor, your other support systems should be where you look to shave mass. Booster, DI,and capacitor can often be much smaller than what you would think, without losing much ground.
Put armor in last, fitted to what mass you have remaining.

listen to his advise, this is how you do it. fit the engine you want, the guns you want, and the shield you want, and thenwork everything else around that.
