Completely possible, which trainers were you looking for, and what waypoints do you mean? If you're talking about waypoints given in the planet map, those only direct you as far as the entrance to the builiding the trainer is in.

Go to Theed and in the palace yuo will find a trainer in the first big room. You will be an RSF pilot which is loyal to the Empire. If you go Smuggler's Alliance you will be rebel aligned in space and can't shoot TIE's which you are required to do at some points, plus the vette you will have to kill for master is the Imp vette. If you went CorSec you would be true neutral, technically able to kill both factions, but you will probably have a hard time killing TIE's when needed in missions.

This post is incorrect and confused.

The only ships you cannot shoot while a Smuggler's alliance pilot are Valarian or Hutt, depending on who you are assigned to at the time. When in RSF you cannot shoot TIEs, nor do you need to as part of an RSF mission, but it limits your ability to help others. The only time the SA helps the rebels is at the very end, and it has no effect on your ability to target and shoot most anything inspace.

No, it isn't. SA has to do the Rebel Master mission. Corsec can choose either. That is one part he got correct.
