Rebel has Vortex Squadron, Crimson Phoenix Squadron... and I can't remember the last.
Imperial has Inqusition, Black Epsilion, and Storm Squadron.
Privateer has Smuggler's Alliance, Corsec (Rebel) and RSF (Imperial).
Just different squadrons starting out on different plans.
A little correction here. Smuggler's are rebel aligned and corsecs are completely neutral

Rebel:
Vortex, Crimson Phoenix, Arkon's Havoc
Imperial:
Storm, Inquisitor, Black Epsilon
Neutral
Smuggler, CorSec, RSF
Each one has its moments when it comes to difficulty, like Vortex and its Tier 4 mission with a Tier 5 Aggressor.

Each squadron has a different storyline, with missions of varying difficulty. How hard they each are is often a matter of opinion.
Also each one hands out reward items in a different order at some points.

I think I am in Crimson Pheonix ! for rebel but not sure.Lok is where my missions come from.Anyhow my question is can every one list which loots there Squadron missions drops. I have gotten an 92 engine so far and I think A nice shield...But not sure if I got it just on random spawns or on missions..once I master Alliance pilot (4-4-4-4) can i recieve duty missions from all 3 rebel instructors to obtain the loot items?

Smuggler's Alliance is the neutral squadron for privateer, however, your master mission involves working for the rebels and attacking an Imperial corvetter. Other than that you have nothing to do with rebels. After mastering the only thing you cannot attack Hutts, other than that you can attack anything. RSF cannot attack Imperials.

I was under the impression that the different squadrons was based on which planet you started on as Reb, Imp and Neutral all have a starting trainer on Core, Tat and Naboo
