Can anyone offer some advice on a good way to gain xp? I worked up RSF Free Lance to 4343 but dropped it due to the RSF faction alignment. When I was RSF, I didn't even have to think about XP, it just seemed to be there when I was ready to train.
I'm now CorSec Free Lance and 4333, and can't seem to get the XP to take my next mission. I have a few POIs where a nice steady stream of tier 4 ships will always spawn, but at 3K a kill, it just seems to be taking forever to fill up that box. I'm currently at 300K xp and I hear about people doing a tier 4 box a day.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

kessel.
everything there is tier 5, which means 8k xp per kill. it's mostly rebs vs imps, but you see the occasional npc smuggler type there also.
im not sure where the privateer station to enter kessel is @ though, im a loyal imperal citizen

Kessel is NOT the best place to gain xp. If you want to gain 10k xp per minute, find the places with really fast spawn points. The ones you're interested in are either tier 3 or 4. Blowing up 8 of those per minute for an hour will get you at least 500k xp. If you don't mind, I'd rather not give out the waypoints, because they are also the best places to get loot, and enough jerks camp these places already.
It's not hard though. If you spend a little time exploring the spaces that most people ignore because they're busy in Kessel, you'll find some neat things.

Thanks, I'll give Kessel another try tonight. I was there before but seemed the spawn rates were really slow.
The neutral space station to Kessel is in Dathomir. It's a waypoint called "Neutral Space station" I think.

Yeah, as I said above, Kessel was slow when I was there. Regardless, thanks all for the advise. Hopefully I'll make some progress this week.

The Dathomir station to get to Kessel is called the Last Nav Station.
Whether you choose Kessel or look for the more frequent respawn spots is a matter of personal preference. Kessel is nice because it's a fairly safe zone for a neutral pilot. The only real aggro things are the Corsair ships that pop up now and again. If you attack a target, only that target aggroes on you (not sure if that holds true if attacking, say, an Imperial ship while near an Imperial gunboat). You just need to make sure that your shots don't go astray and hit something else at the same time. The ships in this zone are usually too busy fighting the NPC ships of the opposite faction to turn around and attack you. Kessel can be hit or miss, though. Sometimes there are lots of ships to fight, and other times the only dots you see on your radar are the stars showing through the transparent parts.
The quicker respawn areas don't give as much xp per ship, but you'll be fighting about 4 at a time, so by the end of the fight, you've netted more xp. It's not as "safe" as Kessel, though, so it's really your call as to which you prefer. Personally, I switch between the two, depending on whether or not I have time for a more involved fight.
