Was the alarm bug fix a joke?
As publish 12.1 notes say:
Complete revamp of interior ship alarms. The should turn off now. You must redeed existing ships to completely correct the issue.
I redeeded my ship as soon as the patch was over and proceeded to decorate it.
Today I took 2 guildies to deep space in my YT-1300, we got in trouble after a while and I jumped out. All damage on the ship was gone but a plasma fire was still there. We tried to patch it, but although we got the message that we successfully patched it, it was still there and my crew and me were still on flames. I landed and launch again and the fire was still there, repairing didn’t work. So I painfully, I redeeded the ship again.
The fire was gone, but feeling uneasy I asked my mates to try again. So we headed to deep space once more and allow ourselves to be pounded to space dust. When I hypered out, the damage was gone but multiple plasma fires were all over the place. We were not able to stop any. So finally I redeeded once more. And by the way, we could hear the alarm once we landed in Coronet.
So, was it a joke of the devs or the fix just doesn’t work in deep space and who knows elsewhere?
Please captains, comment.

Did you post this in the bugs/issues thread? This is what I was afraid of. I didn't see hardly any feedback on the focus thread for this and don't have a master pilot on TC to have helped test it.

I'm suffering with this as well. one of the first things I did after this patch went to live was redeed and redecorate my ship, and then took it out to test the alarm bug fix. One quick jaunt in space later and I had five plasma leaks and the alarms were blaring away merrily. I hypered back to safety and went off to repair. Imagine my surprise when not one, but none of the plasma conduits would let themselves be repaired. the alarm did not switch off, and even continued on the ground....again!
Let me say that I did go onto test center to try and see if this bug really had been fixed at the weekend, as this bug is one that's close to my heart. However I'm not an avid test center player and don't have a master pilot on test center. You think when they added JTL, they'd have modified the blue frogs to be able to give out pilot skills but apparently not.
This bug has been frustrating me for a long time. I wish they'd get it fixed, but more importantly I wish they'd have given me, and probably a bunch of others the ability to actually test the fix on TC at the weekend, then maybe it might now be working.
I know right? An arguement I saw earlier said that there were plenty of master pilots on TC to test this (think it was some kind of fuss over frogs per usual when I saw it brought up). Seeing the feedback in the focus thread as well as what is here now... well I am not even going there as it didn't sound like it was fixed then. So I spent a couple hours redeeding and redecorating my floating alarm clock to a fix that isn't here? Anyone else had the fix work for them? Looking for feedback here so I can attempt to bug this on the live issues thread. Smoke you have any word on your testing results on TC? I am curious to hear how well they came out.

Yeah, I'm having the same issues in my YT.
Went up with my crew last night (after I'd spent the time to take everything off the ship, remove all components, redeed, place all components), I ran around placing the essential "Bags o' Repair Parts", and took off to Deep Space. After a few SD passes (...100 guns...hmm...), we were good and on fire, but all repaired as they should, and the alarms shut off. I was excited, to say the least - but on the next pass, my engineer was saying he couldn't fix one of the conduits - again.
I went down there to find him incapped, I chuckled as I walked over to repair it myself, thinking "he's just messin' up...they fixed this!"...
...I got incapped.
....just fix my dern ship, please!
Bah, not a good sign. Thanks for the info though. "They fixed this..." hehe flash backs of Han Solo screaming leaving Bespin in Ep V.
Has anyone been able to check this today? I am at work so can't check it until this afternoon. Want to make sure nothing has changed over night.
fixed.
