Thread: Front (or back) shield hitpoints stats confusion

I have been trying to find for an explanation on the stats on the shields generators.
What as me confused is when I compare the Prototype given with the starter ship, and some of those I got after doing some missions.
When looking at the stat for front and back shields hitpoint, the Prototype is showned as 300.0/300.0, but the 3 or 4 I presently have all have a 0.0/XXX.X in BOTH front and back.
What are the explanation on these stats, and since being shields, ar really Higher better? (if so, then the prototype is better)

The number in front of the slash is the current state of the shield. In JtL this often displays buggy, and shoulf be ignored. Simply look at the number after the slashes when comparing hit points on two shields.

The current power levels of certain things (shields and capacitors) don't nessisarly show thier proper levels on the ground.
Once you launch, they'll return to their 100% state.

Ho boy

After reading both your response, it finally clicked in my head that it is ver y NORMAL that these are at 0 then... I just got them from blowing up the ship they where on... DOH!!
