I was wondering if the reward shield is given to Imperials only, or is it something everyone gets at Tier 4, just with at different name, like the reward engine at Tier 3?

All rewards (ship components) are identical for all 9 pilot trees,some just carry different names (or visuals, for example borstel disruptor).

I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm constantly amazed by the amount of quality stuff that gets sold off (especially to the chassis dealer) when almost everything has some kind of value to it... even if it's just the ap/hp, or as filler at higher levels.
On the bright side, if you ever decide to drop your current ace and redo it, you will receive another.

I'm saving up some parts so that when I get the reward shield I will be ready to have it reverse engineered. I was wondering what the regeneration is like on it so I know what quality of parts to save up for the RE job. Thanks for your help.

Base regen is 11 or so if I remember correctly. L8 shields can go much higher in loots, so look hard.

I think it's a tad higher. All of mine have RE'd into the 15s on regen, with >2550 shields. (We're talking about the lvl 8 reward shield right)?

I was going to post and see what regen rates people got on their reward shields, so I'll add it here instead.

I looted a 17.19 regen level 8 shield not long after jtl released. (haven't seen anything close since...) That re'ed with the reward shield turned into 18.05 regen and 2555 f/b. Fits fine in my Kyrat and with some shoving fits into in myDunelizard too. (picture stan lee shoving the hulk action figure into the bat-mobile!)

My imperial character is sitting with a 16.5 regen shield as his best for the re. Waiting just a bit longer to see if I can get 17+ base for the re for him too.

This is definitely a newbish question but when exactly do you get a reward shield....I'm a Tier 4434 rebel pilot but for the life of me cannot remember if I have ever even seen this reward. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

i have not seen over 14 ish for looted shields, though i have heard about them. The two i RE'd came out to 14.7 and 14.9 regen.

i think anything over 14 regen is worth using your reward shield on...

You wont find anything with higher armor HP or front back. hence reward hehe.

Also look for lower mass (u canfind 26-27k ones, but more commen are about 30k) and lower drain.
