Am I the only one having this problem? My main toon is a rebel pilot and my alt is a privateer...anyways I keep trying to trade a lesser flight computer to my alt and it lets me do everything except complete the trade. At that point it always says trade cancelled, so I thought maybe I was taking too long to complete the trade but it won't let me trade it to another person either, yet I can trade astromechs all day long. Any suggestions?

Try selling from or offering to a vendor ... overprice it some nobody else will buy.

Nope, I tried selling it to my vendor and it tells me that the only thing that can be sold off a datapad are schematics.....any other suggestions? Has anyone successfully traded a flight computer to someone else before?

As far as I know FC are nontradeable. In any manner. They also don't count against droid max.
The rebel astormech's do count against droid max, can have other abilities (storage, 110 med, crafting stations) and are tradable.

This was done to prevent "frontloading" a cheapFC with programs you know, and trading it off, thus eliminating the need for chips made by DE. Since droids are made by DE, its ok to trade them, since you have a much larger DE product than chips, and there was no convenient way to partially block droid exchanges.
DE partisan rant (feel free to ignore, its not Pilot related)- At least we got a bit of help by the above feature, but the "great things in JtL" that the DE were told were cominghave pretty much fizzled. Only 4 ships of the 30+ take an astromech, most of the chip market was killed when the (appropriate) change was made that allowed pilots to program what they know. The resource requirements and the possibility for experimentation on Flight computers and Data Modules were nuked to oblivion (there's no point in making quality, its all the same withing a given cert level). Droid sales were helped somewhat by JtL, but most of them end up being throwaway models, that are used when in those tiers, then destroyed to make way for the next biggest level of computer (I HATE destroying droids because they cant be redeeded. Devs added ship redeeding in about 2 weeks, why couldnt they have done it for droids too??). Having a good well made droid means nothing in JtL, when in theory it should directly effect the speed at which you can hyperjump. As it stands, my advanced R3 plots a course as fast as the rookie in his scyck scratching the calculations into his dashboard with his fingernail.... *sigh* sorry. I get hung up on these things, since some of them were things we pushed to get right in beta, and some are things that got nerfed on us since then. Economically JtL was a bummer.
