Thread: Any Tempest groups doing the Imp vette in the next few days?

I don't feel comfortable trying to solo this because A: my advanced x-wing's chassis hop has been cut in half and b: I seem to have bad luck with ships with rear-firing guns. I'd prefer to get in on a group doing it if thats possible.
A little aside, the first mission for the master trainer is to kill 30 imp ships but I only detected a handful in-system. Are you just supposed to wait around until another handful spawns or is there some other way to do it?

keep looking around, you wont see them till you get closer, even with the RADAR all the way out. I'm on Tempest also but my main character is Imperial.

With regards to the "kill 30" mission, sensors in Kessel are very short-ranged due to interference from the maw, keep flying around and you will come across plenty of enemies. Took me about 35 minutes to do this one.
The corvette is very soloable if you follow the guide posted in the FAQ stickied at the top. Was able to solo it very easily on my first attempt (admittedly with help from BomberStrike, but have since done quite a few corvettes without Bomber Strike). Best advice is to read the guide and give it a try, you may be surprised at just how well you do.

My problem is those dang rear-gunning ships always seem to tear my shields apart in no time. I can handle a few high lvl ships at once, but a large group is a bit beyond me. Of coruse, it would help if I could find a vendor selling r5 droids and programming chips so I could take advantage of those pilot tricks.

contact me in game tomorrow (monday) night and i'll get ya hooked up with chips. I might be able to talk our DE into makin an R-unit for you also.
