im regrinding smuggler's alliance. i am 4433 with 3 mil exp stored up. I have to do a stupid escort mission before i can train though.

I disable the freighter, kill the TIEs, then i'm supposed to escort the freighter out of the sector.

2 waves of TIES come, i cannot target them with TAB but rather i have to use ; to target them and kill them. I killed the 2 waves.. now the freighter is basically flying in circles i think. I've been auto following him for 20 mintues and nothing has spawned and nothing has happened.

I cant dock with it, inspecton results are -nothing-. Can't shoot him, can't leave the sector.

my quest log only says to escort him out of the sector. I landed and reaccepted the mission.. same results with the 2nd try. I've tried flying 10km away and back, nothing. I've killed everything in sight. nothing.
