for the Jedi Starfighter quest, you need to be an imperial combatant on the ground.
you need to be Imperial Combatant in order to get the ship, but atleast 4333 in any pilot skill to pilot it

u need to have starships 4 of any pilot tree to use it, and be imp on the ground while u do thw quest if u go reb after u have completed the quest and get starships 4 on reb pilot u should (should) be able to use it

I was rebel then switched to imperial.
Switching to imperial caused me to lose all pilot skills.
I joined the empire and went special forces.
I did Vader's quest up until he gave me the JSF.
I did not complete the last part of the mission since i had no pilot skills.
I went back to being rebel.
I joined privateer (smuggler's alliance)
I converted the ship to my datapad when i was 4333 privateer.
I can fly the JSF with no problems.
As a rebel, i can even go down to Vader and kill those dark troopers around him.
I can also accept the last part of Vader's mission which i did not complete before.
As a privateer, I can complete Vader's mission which involves killing rebels in space.
I can kill rebels in space, even though I am a rebel on ground.
Because I am privateer.

As a Rebel pilot, I am unable to do the yellow part.

i didn't think that Space Alliance had anything to do with ground
