Ok I have read through the forums and I know the mission is broken. I did hear you could finish the missions up to the Y-8 escort mission.

I am having an issue using the tractor beam on the disabled freighter. Even with all weapons unequipped the frieghter is destroyed before I get even the first spawn of enemies.

I have tried using the tractor beam toggle, putting the tractor in a weapon group and in none.

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appriciate it.

Hm, for me it worked fine... Killed off some fighters, than put my tractor beam in group 2, and used it by pressing 2 on my keyboard, woth the freighter targetted and in my line of sight.

When you're done sucking her empty, she explodes.

Yea when I shoot the tractor beam I just get the increment msg then it explodes.

I am also having the problem with this mission where I just suck out 500 Iron Asteroid then it explodes before anything can spawn. Anyone have an idea as to how I complete this mission?
