Ok WTH was that dev thinking. I am stuck on Tier 3 doing the Endor missions. Frankly its BS. You have to combat the 1-12th Rebel Armadas as the Empire tries to constructthere "SECRET" (HAHAHAHA) base on Endor.

I am not joking. I am now working on the 3rd of the 4 missions. Considering each mission has at least 4 sub missions involved and including failed attempts and successfull completion of missions I have flamed over 700+ Rebel fighters!!!!! I have done everything studied dog fighting tactics, streamlined my interceptor, and gotten help!

Now with Mission 3 its crap! I have killed every rebel fighter that gets near the decoy shuttle and have never been more than 2000 meters away from the shuttle and it just auto fails you at the end. Hell at this point I dont know how you get past that mission.

When I did get help they were floored at the psychotic level of difficulty associated with these missions. I helped that person with one of there tier3 missions and IT REMINDED ME OF MY TIER 1 MISSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

/rant off

Ok had to get that out

Now here is one question do you get something for making Ace in Storm Squadron over and above what you woudl get in the vastly easier Black Epsilon or Inqusition Sqadrons? I dont need alot a hologram that say "Dam dude we are sorry and we fired that guy" or a badge or something!

If you make Ace in Storm Squadron, you get a fair ammount of respect from other pilots. Especially if you solo it.

By the way, the secret to that mission is to destroy all of the a-wings before the next wave spawns.

yep, you get to walk around with the nifty storm squad badge, that any pilot that knows his squads will be impressed with.

I am a rebel on ground... but a Freelancer in space. I have helped my buddy who is a Storm Squadron pilot do missions in his 3rd and 4th tier...

They are insane... that is why I show my utmost respect to any pilot with that badge.

I'm working on the second mission of that tier. It just goes on and on... AND ON!

I think that I would like the missions a LOT more if there were pauses in-between. How many times do I have to do the first, second, and third part, only to fail the fourth part near the end and have to repeat the ENTIRE THING?!?!?!?!?! I swear, I'm afraid to log on to SWG because I know I will be compelled to play that mission, only to fail by a tiny margin and have to redo the entire thing.

*shouts* AAAH!!!

Yes, I agree with you there. I just soloed all four missions of tier 3 earlier this week, and man, they are a bear.

I failed a couple of them, one cuz I sucked, and another cuz I accidentally blew up the ship i was trying to disable...

Someone up the thread here said to blow up all the a-wings before the next spawn, which is true. I did find that if you get behind (I did a couple times), just disable all of them for a couple waves. It is MUCH faster, and you can catch up to where you are at the escorted vessel, waiting for the next spawn. I think these are close, maybe 90 seconds on them. It is really an insane spawn rate, but fun.

Also, if you hate the third mission, wait for mission 4.

That one is the most butt-crazy mission I have ever seen, and this is my third squad. I am a little nervous about tier 4. But, all in all, that tier 3 4th mission was the most awesome experience I have ever had in SWG, in space or on the ground.

But, I do love the "dam we're sorry and we fired that guy" holo idea.

I solo'd Storm as my 2nd Ace (First was Smuggler) only failed one mission once (Very early on the YT out of Nyms I was still Prototype Equiped ) For the T3 missions just get aheavy and equip it with crafted stuff. A lvl3 reactor, lvl3 cap, lvl5 DI, lvl5 Eng, lvl5 Sheid anda lvl5 QS Blasters, geta half decent booster and a chaff launcher and I hope it goes without saying use the best droid commands available.

With that setup you should be able to kill all the AWings before the next wave pops and roll a smoke while you wait for the beep beep 'cus you've done it so fast.

When you reach T4 change upgrade to a lvl 7 Eng, lvl7 Sheild ,Proton3 launcher and 2 lvl 7 QS Blasters and a Bulb. With that setup you should be able to solo everything PvE, and if you can't I'm afraid it's your skill

yea, storm squad is a bear. I thought about doing it for my alt orix, but the inqesition squad makes more sense for him RP wise, since im building him to be a dark jedi that works for vader behind the screen so to speak.

well, i am 4343 storm squadron. imagine if you will having gotten into SW in the first place by playing X-Wing (talk about HARD) on my 486 IBM back in the day, and getting completely hooked on Tie-Fighter. after that i was an official SWG (star wars geek) yeah the force is cool and all, but my Tie-Defender from TF could just about solo a victory class star destroyer. fast, missles, triple lasers. it may have been ugly but man it could kill! so thinking i was quite the pilot i just randomly picked an imp squadron to join. started doin missions..1111 no prob, 2222 made me work a little. 3322..oops someone forgot to tell me that i had started into the hardest squadron in the game. so having only used looted components (no RE) and no droid comands or chips i made it that far. now that i have all of the above i am pretty darned proud of myself for doing it w/o any of the "cheats"(not really cheats, just part of the game) i made it all the way to 3332 with only having help on one mission. wow...talk about stressful, but it is my fault for not reading forums. anyway, help is always nice, but if you get the right equipment, and can hit the green box in the cross hairs i don't think there is a mission you can't solo. cheers for storm squad!

I only stomached 4333 in storm squadron and although the master badge and kudos was tempting I was so mind numbingly bored/frustrated I ended up dropping it and mastering rebel.

Yes I'm ashamed I did it only for the JSF deed, my utmost respect to anyone who does it solo for the right reasons though.
