To the last mission of the "Arms Race" story arc on Starsider. The writeup for the event is here:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Starsider&message.id=448923

If you want to come, discuss it here, so we can get a few yachts together as spectators at the battle sites. It should be a good one.

This should be worth watching, though I'll likely still be using a Scyk.

I totally am. I mean, I got it explained to me by two peole but I stillc an't make it work

But yeh, I'm really looking forward to this one because I'll be able to use my A-wing. Anyone want to be my wingman or let me be theirs? Preferably another A-wing pilot would be good. If so, I'll be around most of the week and if you'd like to practise prior to the event, I'll be up for that too .

While I would love to join in, I most definitely will not be able to fight since I will be transferring my main character over Thursday or Friday at the earliest and he has no Pilot skills ATM. However, I can offer up my FRAPS part of anything going on. Either in a multi-player ship or in some starter ship. We can hopefully record this from several different viewpoints. If we have one person on the Imp side, I can film from the Reb side. But, I'll fess up that I'll be going Imp shortly afterwards. I'll even offer up my raw footage (no sounds) for other filmers to edit into theirs as well as my own efforts to edit mine.

Love to be there but will likely be a spectator until I can gring my new character on SS up to a decent level.

I'll grab as much fraps and screenshots as I can though while I'm there

Woah! if we could get loads of different angles Fraps wise and like get them to someone who'd volunteer to make one uber footage mini-film that'd be awesome.

I had originally planned to show in my yacht. But, I would prefer the view from my TIE. What are the thoughts of the participants of a non-involved TIE trying to observe and film? I want to get good shots, but I don't want to confuse the issue and have people trying to hit me when they should be concentrating on a real target. It would be a starter TIE since I have yet to even go into space with the character I just transferred to Starsider (been out of game for a year).

Kind of related, what do folks think the best place to shoot FRAPS from on a Yacht? If I'm not at the controls, I'll be pretty much stationary. So, would it be best to film from the controls or one of the observation points? Any other filmers out there have any tips for how I should do this?

Addy, the frapser who did the last battle, flew a non-declared TIE Advanced, so I have no problem with you flying an undeclared TIE for filming.

As far as frapsing from a yacht, you might want to try sitting at the controls with the cockpit view off. Not sure, though--I'm no frapser.

I dont think you can turn off the cockpit view in a POB
