Thread: When do YOU go to Kessel?

Ok, it seems as though most of the members of my guild, new players and veterans alike, think I'm some kind of genetic mutation with extra reflex nerves and eyes in the back of my head or something, but to prove a point to them I just started a brand new pilot on my main server (added ROTW to an alt acct), and took my 0100 Alliance pilot to Kessel and finished off all of tier one in about five minutes. This was using level3 crafted parts (except for a so-so REd level 2 capacitor), no droid overloads, and Z95 chassis.
So maybe I am crazy, some kind of kamikaze madman, a genetic mutation, or all of the above. When do you Ace pilots begin taking your ships solo to Kessel to start ringing up XP? I'll admit that it's very rough going at 0100 and the tiniest mistake turns your ship to shrapnel, but if I can do it certainly others can. And by 1211 you're certainly using good enough gear to not have much danger from Tier 5 TIEs (Aggressors possibly excluded).
Please post your experiences. I've tried to pay attention to how I fly and try to figure out what others are doing wrong so I can help them do what I do, but I really don't see it. I chase my target, roll out of fire, dodge missiles into other ships or asteroids, and shoot my guns at my target a lot. To me it just doesn't seem like I'm doing anything different than anyone else, and everyone in my guild has access to the same identical parts I use, because I make and supply them to the guild. So what's the scoop? And any advice you think I could particularly give to our new pilots to help them out skill-wise?

I hate kessel. I hate the dead time while I'm searching for more spawns - I don't go until I have to find 30 ships. I honestly think duty missions are faster XP, and pre-Tier 4 I go after level 4/5 wild spawns.

Duty missions are also extra credits, never something to turn down...

Outside of the Kill 30/Vette missions, I'll probably never go to Kessel again. Maybe for quick grinding through Tier 2, but not anytime other than that. I've finished my Imperial squadrons, so now all the squadrons I am doing have an option for Tier 4 Black Sun duties. Kessel can take a flying leap.

Like most people unless i HAVE to go there (master box missions) i stay as far away as possible. Theres equalor better xp to be had, and much eaiser i might add, in dathomir.
