I just recently bought JTL last night and enlisted in the CorSec faction just because I was already at Coronet, and wanted to get up asap. So I get up, fly around a bit, don't do any missions, and land about ten minutes later. Wow, what a rush 
But then I realized that I had 75K+ credits in my bank. None of my friends had given it to me, soI figured it had something to do with my little excursion...

The same thing did happen to me when I started CorSec. With the same exact amount.

check your email associated with your Sony Station account. The devs for some random reason gave everyone with JTL 75k.

Its a gift being given by the devs to anyone thats bought JTL to help them with ship costs, you should have recieved an email telling you about it.
Its odd, the nerf solo missions due to to much money in the economy, then ....

Can anyone clarify this?
Check your Email... It's a reward or gift to all JTL customers ending January 31st 2005.
So that also means any existing character you have or create between now and then will get an extra 75k added to their character.
One character per server only so you can't create , trade the credits and delete that character and make a new one with another 75k again.
But isn't it nice, you can go to a different server now if you wish and start fresh with 75k already in your bank box?

I could make a new character on a server, and thanks to JTL I could already make about 100k an hour just with the starter ship, but an extra 75k is always nice

Hmm.... whats to stop people who have another account from continously creasting new characters and giving the credits to their main? I seriously hope the devs thought of this. Hell, I've been doing this since Ultima III in the old commodore days.
