Thread: Noob Pilot question.
If so, the best you can fly is a Heavy TIE. Not just at 1111, but pretty much until you get to Tier 4. They're kind of expensive, though.

I used to believe that, but not so much anymore. Yes, the learning curve is steep between Tiers 2 and 3. Yes, you'll likely die a lot, and probably get frustrated all to hell. But doing Storm as your first squadron, especially if you have no intentions of doing a second, will make you a muvh better pilot by the end of it than any other squadron in the game.

i fully agree due to the amount of times i was dieing and not just being lame and calling in help at first failiure, i decided to pop along to the pilot boards and the info i found not just on what a good ship should be but on piloting techniques and strategy's got me through it and has made me a better pilot and more aware of what iwant a ship to do.
ie my JSF had crammed a 97 speed engine it but with a awful ypr of 60 after reading certain posts figured for size of craft more manouverablity would be betternow i run it on a 79 72 until can gather more components for re to get some better speed and i find this a lot nicer to use than the previous eng.
