Thread: Imperial Navy?
I've went through about five pages so far and most of the posters seem to be either rebel or freelance pilots.. So. What's the deal?
Well im rebel, but from my take on this is the tie's have the best handling modifiers(beter than rebel anyway)
But low on mass. The only very high mass imp ship is the bomber, and it handles like a freight train.
I don't know if the mass for the imp ace ships are any better, but up to the interceptor(flew one on annother server) the mass stinks in comparison to other faction ships.
Also, anyone rebel or freelancecan paint their ships. But as ties are part of the imperial navy, you cannot modify its looks at all.
1. MUCH less mass than their Rebel and Freelance counterparts
2. Fewer gun slots than their Rebel and Imperial counterparts (Imperials are the only faction to not get a ship with 3 guns)
They're maneuverable as all get out (ignore the TIE Bomber), but generally much more of a pain to load correctly, and for those of us who are really into firepower, they just don't stack up.
have any of you ever tried emergency weapons?
if we had a 3 weapon ship that pilot abilty would get nerfed soo fast
it gives a 10x damage mod(not sure if its a % or a set bonus but all i know is that it is in the 10x are for me) and it makes our capacitor have a near limitless energy supply
with our manuverabilty it makes us great hit and run fighters to take out even the largest of foes
But we get one with 3 missiles.
Considering any "emergency" special resets the ship power systems and wipes out droid overloads when it expires, most of us prefer to avoid them.

So. I see alot of posts about how great the Vaksai and some of the rebel ships are.....
The JSF could be considered an Imperial Ship, as you must be an Imperial to earn it. Since that is the case, can you still say that Imperial Ships aren't getting any credit for being good?
Pre-RotW, the TIE-Adv and the TIE-Opp were both solid choices, while the Int and Bomber filled specialty roles and the Agg and Deci were available for multi-person flight.
I don't think the Imperials have been short-changed when it comes to the availability of quailty ship chassis.
