Thread: Inquisition Imperial Pilot BUG?

It seems that the 1st tier 3 Mission for the Inquisition Imperial Pilot's training is bugged. After escorting Colonel Hend's yacht back the pilot is asked to go to the Yavin-4 system to intercept the Mercenary Spy ship, disable it and then inspect it. I believe that the ship that is to be intercepted is called "Rebel Spy" and it is certainly findable and you can disable it. I can not inspect the ship nor can I dock with it. I have attempted this mission 8 times and I still cannot complete this "IMPOSSIBLE" mission. I am highly frustrated and I am disappointed that I cannot proceed forward in my pilot training. Can anyone confirm this bug?

It's been about 2 or 3 weeks since I did that mission but it worked then. I don't remember anything about the mission but I did complete it. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.

I found the yacht and disabled and escorted it back. But then the next part of the mission sent me to Yavin-4 space to intercept a Mercenary Spy ship. This is the ship that I am unable to find. I have searched and searched and I haven't been able to locate it. I have also had Cactus-Jack (lowca) ace-pilot assist me and we both are befuddled as to how to complete the next part of the mission. I have found ships called "Rebel Spy" but I do not think that they are who I am looking for. Cactus-Jack seems to think I am looking for "Mercenary Spy" - but there are no ships named that in the waypoint area in Yavin space.

Please tell me how you completed the second part of Col. Hend's Yacht mission- Thank you!

I did this mission a few days ago. As I recall the waypoint your given is the approximate location of a static spawn. The mercenary spy should be about 500m away from the waypoint you are given. Not sure if its aggro but I remember that it is tier 4 and I think I it is Scyk or a dunelizard. You should be pretty close if you found the rebel spies. As I recall they were tier 3 ties about 1k from the mercenary. Hopethis helps.

Is the name of the ship "Mercenary Spy" ?? if so, then this is definately bugged for me. I have found that static spawn, and I have found the countless spawning rebel spies and I have killed hundreds of Superior Fighters (Ni'lyahin sp...) and hundreds of Hutt fighters. No ship even remotely called "Spy" except the "Rebel Spy" who produces "NOTHING" when inspected. This is so completely frustrating. I have been attempting this mission for 14 hrs. and I have failed over 16 times (a world record forme). I am about to throw my joystick out the window and just play the ground game. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi...lol - Whew...I am going to bed. I have had it. I can only beat my head against the wall for so long....Oh BTW, I /bugged it and I sent in a CSR ticket (don't know why, I already KNEW the response I would get - Just another reminder that CSR stands for "C"an't "S"ervice you "R"equest). Thank you everyone who has graciously taken a few moments to offer your suggestions. I do appreciate you!

This is a guide to the entire Inquisition Squadron. I have found it invaluable throughout my entire pilot progression. Reading the section for the mission you are on, the only thing I can say is make sure you are disabling the engines and not the reactor like it says.

Thank you SO much Supermite, yesterday the search feature on these forums was down and I could not utilitze it for any help. I appreciate your link. I have not yet attempted to the mission again today, but I am logging in now. I will use that guide you sent me. Pity that we have to resort to such devices just to play this game, but if it helps me then it will save another very frustrating day of vain attempts. At least I am an Ace at escorting Col Hend's yacht back - lol.

Thanks! - HOPE THIS WORKS....
