I found a pricey 79/77/78/95 for my advanced TIE after using a high 60's and before that high 50's engine in interceptor / TIE-In. I was a bit dismayed to trade firepower for performance but it fits my style and I love the twists and turns.

O.....M.....G......I had no idea the difference it would make. Blaster bolts come out of my ship sideways now! They just hang out there and "fall" onto my target, sometimes head on, sometimes on top, and sometimes backwards even. It's kinda dizzying and will take me some time to learn to control it. I had such a hard time with tier 5 ships, especially droid fighters and A-Wings before. I could never get them on my screen more then 3-4 seconds and if lucky I'd land ONE weak shot on it. The fights would go on for what seemed like hours. Now I can keep either on my screen indefinitely.

Ground game? What ground game...

"Richthofen was not regarded by his peers as an especially gifted pilot. Pilots of the day and historians have continually asserted that his younger brother Lothar was a much more natural pilot, being more skilled in aerobatic maneuvers. Rather than engage in such risky tactics, Manfred von Richthofen adhered strictly to a set of flight maxims (commonly referred to as the "Dicta Boelcke") to assure the greatest chance of both squadron and individual success." -- Wikiepedia, "The Red Baron"

Keep that engine close to your heart... I made mine and still use it... it an't what some crazys would call "uber" or anything but anyone who I have flown with will tell you that it gets the job done.

Take good care of your baby and start looting to make a better one... have fun.

Play the game or don't it is what it is and will never be what it was for better or worse. I intend to play the game as long as it is fun, that does not make me a fan boy of brown noser. I know the game has it's flaws, but it serves no purpose to dwell in the past.
