lol NO dont ADK a chasis.Ive never tried and i dont think you can either.. youll prolly need to get blown around 10- 15 times, im not sure though. However chasis doesnt matter unlessyou are pvping .If your chasis is 10/10 you blow up easier in pvp.. then again all it takes is well placed shot to blow you up anyway.. so i wouldnt worry about it.
10 Times? That's way too little. I can't remember how often i blew up my Krayt by either trying to pull some new stunt, experimenting with something or finding another declared player. (I almost always fly declared, also outside of DS.)
It still has durability around 250, so it will be 36 times still to blow up my ship till it reaches 10/10. And even then i see no real reason to replace it. If the enemy defeated shield and armour, even 2000 hull means little if a tiny hit can (and most likely will) destroy an important component like your engine, reactor or weapon.
So, as long as the ship has good shields and regularily gets a new layer of armour (that's the only component where decay matters a lot), the status of the hull is more a matter of pride than a matter of functionality.
I don't remember what the chassis was rated at before (somewhere around 2000) but 23 times to take a krayt to 10. I was determined to do the vaksai mission in my krayt. When it reached 10 I switched to my bel-22 and did it first time. (the reason I don't like large ships... I need to be able to move)

23 Times from 2000 to 10? How the heck did you do that? 2000*(0.9^23) = 177.
That's definitely a badly worn chasis, but still a good deal over 10. Get killed another 27 times and we're talking... *smile*
Wow... you actually did the math. I, personnaly, didn't think it was that important. However, since you have been so kind as to provide me with a formula, I guess I could figure out just how much the chassis really did have left. Admittedly, I haven't seen the ship since I deleted it about 4 months ago, so I could be off on the 2000 guess. So...
10/(0.9 23)=112
It would appear that I was alot off on my estimate. Like I said... that isn't the important part. The point is thatchassis decaystops at 10.
