Hi there. I am still wondering if EPulse is worth anything in PvE. Now at master level and /epulse3 I am still looking for any application but it still appears completely useless in PvE encounters. I recognize the immense usefulness in PvP but as far as i am concerned it appears even more useless than the PirateTrap.
I'd love to hear some thoughts about it.

I use it when running tier 3 duty missions for cash. A wave of 6 or 7 tier 3 ships go boom with a lucky e-pulse... other than that, I odn't use it at all...

I think when farming, id disable the whole wave into a nice little clump, then Epluse them all at once for kicks

Sad to hear that in fact there seems to be no useful applications for privateer pilot commands except IFF-Transponder scramble (which is immensely useful) and in a limited way EThrust.
I tried to use it on Tier3 missions but I seem to destroy those ships faster with my guns. Plus that leaves me with full shields and an almost fully charged capacitor...

Actually Pirate Trap is quite useful in some encounters, they aren't good enough to have a particularly reasonably chance of doing much damage, but they do cause enough of a distraction that it can help even very uneven odds.

I don't use epulse anywhere but PvE (unless ordered otherwise during mass PvP battles). That being said I really don't use it much at all. Occasionally I fly through the center of an oncoming group of bad guys and epulse, but that is usually after I start getting bored with an escort mission (which I hate, but escorts are the only BS duty missions I can get). It leaves you too vulnerable to use it in most situations. Basically, it is a nice toy and good for last ditch efforts, other than that, not very useful.

Just as a quick FYI-if you're a CorSec ace, you can go to Naboo to the palace and talk to one of the trainers there (off the right in a side room near the back if I remember), who will be willing to give you a destroy BS duty.

That's my good deed for the day...!
