I dont know about anyone else but i really think that if u r flying a mission and u suddenly get disconnected from the game for whatever the reason, you and your ship should become immune from attack from npc ships if not all ships complety.

The reason?

well i just spent and hour getting far in the mission to get me to 3222 imp in storm squadron. Its a very long mission and it took ages to get so far in the quest. I was attacked by 4 tiet 4 pirates which i managed to luckily destroy, so i was going back to space station to get repairs just as another teir 4 fighter spawned, so i carried on towards the space station whilst using boosters and then turning round to fend off the attack from the fighter. I managed to reach the space station but it wouldnt comunicate. only then to get the SWG disconnected bar pop up. I managed to log back inot game and BAM i was at space station and i had been blown up, mission failed! i have to redo it all over again.....1 whole hour for nothing, so i can be destroyed whilst vulnerable/disconnected. Well this needs to be addressed IMO because that is bad. Something totally outta my control.

Won't happen. To easy to pull the plug on your connection when you start to lose.

Yeah, that's the problem with a solution like this.

It definitely sucks, though. My internet dropped when I was in the DWB last night, lol. Logged in at my old friends the cloners'.

/doh thats bad . i was sooo frustrated last night about this lol as u can prolly tell with the thread ans yes i can see the problem with putting that kind of system in, but in fairness the mission is a big one to complete and difficuly , maybe the mission shouldnt end ,i dont know ,because u r not actually leaving the sector.

You're in the tough part of storm, definitely try to find a friend or two to help you on your upcoming missions.

yeah i think that the time u need to put into this mission is too long, it is effective the way it has been put together to look like alot of things are happening at once(its good) but i think there needs to be someway of storing the mission u r on! unless of course u have to rescue something in which case it would seem daft to go lightspeed somewhere then come back.

and i think i will go get some guildies to come and help me lol

cheers for that at least now on the day after i feel a little better lol, might even go try again

i think the problem is moreso that the mission takes an hour and cant be saved or picked back up halfway through, than the problem of dying when you lose connectivity
