I have been an Alliance Ace Pilot for ages but never really got around to making my self a decent X-Wing. So I was wondering what a good set-up is for a plain old X-Wing? I don't wan't to spend hours getting "uber"loot either. So I would just like to know decent set-up for parts and if thy are built, reward or loot and how hard they are to get. Same question for an A-Wing, B-Wing and Nova Courier if possible.

Entirely dependant on what engine you plan on putting into it.
L6 or L8 engine?

Regular X? if you're a veteran ace, it should be easy work for you to get the Heavy X, which gives you like 80kish more mass to work with. At that point, the question is more of what NOT to put in it
That being said, heres a quick checklist that I go by when outfitting my ships
reactor: T1/2 crafted or looted, gen rate > 12k
capacitor: T4 RE, RC>40 energy>1100
DI: prenerf T1 speed < 15
shields: RE reward shields (the T8 ones with 2400 f/b), RC>14
booster: RE reward booster (the T4 one with 51 recharge)
engine: RE T6 reward engines or RE T8 reward and/or Starmap engine
weapons: biggest ones you can cram in, reward guns tend to be the best stats vs mass by far
armor: whatever you can fit after the weapons

its a fair assumption.....if you were willing to spend the 29 bucks for the space expansion, why wouldnt you pay for the expansion expansion?
