Ok, Im black eplsilon or however you spell it.

Im 2222 and I talked to the bothan dude and he gave me a mission. Fine, did the mission and came back. He told me to go to Yavin 4. So I guess thats the new teacher dude. He gives me a mission where I gota loot something from a Tier4 A-wing thats brokenly' fast. But anyways, I get the item and go to the next wp. But the number of ships I gota kill is impossible. They just keep comeing.

How the hell do you do this mission? Im very pissed off because I grinded out all 200k xp to get my new shiney bomber and have parts all lined up to use in it and I cant use it beacuse of this very dumb mission.

Please help.

The ship spawn is non-stop until you dock with the ship in question at the WP given. My advice is either:

A) Disable all the ships you come across as fast as possible and jet towards the WP. Disable what spawns then continue. When you get there, disable anything that comes in, then dock with that ship like mad.

B) Get a friend to help you out. While you fly towards the WP, have your wingmate disable/destroy the ships.

Or better yet, both.

Oh, and all of Tier 3 is mission based, so you won't need that XP till you get to the point of Tier 4.

Thanks for the help, but JTL just lost its fun right now, impossible missions....

You shouldnt need anyones help to complete these missions, or the dude should say something like " you should get some help for this mission" instead of you going out there to have your ship and components damaged by learning the hard way. Sigh...

Bring a friend...it's just a long escort mission. The rest of Tier3 Black Epsilon is even harder...so get ready. If you're a good pilot with good components, you can solo some of them. They're really long though.

Good luck.

Contrary to the way things actually are, everything in this game is not supposed to be solo-able. It's supposed to be a Massively "MULTIPLAYER" Online RPG. I managed to do most of these with just one friend helping me...they're tough but fair.

Ive been through smugglers alliance twice solo, and havoc once solo. A couple missions were a bit tough, but nothing was impossible.

You don't NEED anyones help to do the missions. I did the first 2 missions ofBlack Epsilon Tier 3 solo (including the one your talking about), haven't yet tried anything past that. But its much less of a headache and, to be honest more enjoyable, if you just have a friend or two with you.

What a joke. tryed to diable the ships. After disableing the entire first spawn the next one comes in and I just cant live long enough. My ship is tweaked out, I was leveling up from Tier4 B-wings with a TIE/IN. This is a joke, I guess im stuck at Tier2 for a few hours till I can find someone to help me in Cnet spaceport but thats gona be impossible too. I have soloed everything up to this point with no problem and I havent died on any missions.

This is very very dumb haveing to do missions befor you can get skill boxs. I bet I could do this mission with my bomber that I cant use.

Alas, I did find some help. A friendly Freelance 4444 pilot who was willing to help me out. And my was his/her ship nice! There is no way I could have done that mission without help. Not only did I have to drop some item off on a shuttle. But then you gota escort a Y-wing around for 20-30 mins.

Ah well, this person scored himself a spot on my free buff list for sure!

Now i just gota find me a new reactor. My "Wattos sunray " doesnt cut it anymore.

Just dock under fire then. Be quick about it. It worked for me.

Friends help and make the missions a lot easier. BUT NOTHING in Multiplayer reads as Group only. It means you play CAN play with other people and other people will be playing online. Multiplayer does not mean Group. I wish people would stop saying that.

Yes the missions are hard. For missions like the one your describing I had high lvl shields so I could race to the target and dock fast and get out. Also do you have a FULL set of droid programs?? The can make you ship at least double its power. I am on Tier 4 and I have programs for Reactor Overload, Weapon Overload, Engine Overload, Capacitor Overload and Shield Shunt. I couldn't get very far in one of the duty missions because I would get over whelms. These programs made it a cake walk.

MultiPlayer does not "mean" group, but increasingly many of the multiplayer games are putting focus on those. Many of the complaints by people are that everything is too easy to solo--the fun parts are hard enough to require a group.

With most of the patches, Devs are slowly making professions more interdependent...making so to be the best, you cannot work alone. It's a consistent theme--and the space missions often reinforce that. In a perfect multiplayer game, there would be difficult content for solo people, but also stuff that is absolutely impossible unless you take a group--and have a range of stuff for various sized groups to do.

IMHO, that is.

V8, I hear you on your frustration, I found the Tier 3 missions very hard to solo. I am in Storm Squadron, and managed to solo the 1st mission after perhaps 8-10 attempts. The second mission waxed me solo like 4 more times, and I said, I gotta get some help. (Still think the missions should have markers/chapters in them. Sometimes even an hour can be a huge time commitment to ask for uniterrupted, especially when you're close to the end and something comes up. Real life calls sometimes, but that is a separate issue.)

First, you should add your server to your forum profile, you might get volunteers to help you. I am on Starsider, so if I can help, send a /tell to see if I am online. Second, find a friend to do the missions with. A friend of mine and I are getting through Tier 3 and 4, and we also play with headset mikes going through Yahoo voice. Once you get past the "oh god I am such a dork" factor, playing with voice (for free) with another player multiplies the fun factor by at least 10. And, I cannot tell you how much more effective the teamwork is when you do not have to sit and get pounded by Tier 4 A Wings while you type a quick /tell "You are too far from the freighter and I am getting killed!".

I know spamming "help me" is annoying, but I often get unsolicited help offerswhen I am just waiting for friends to arrive on Yavin 4. Ask around. Anybody who insists on money is just a d*ck. There are enough good samaritans out there. As for it being a design issue that you need help..., well, the devs have since day 1 encouraged player interaction. Chefs/Tailors need bio-engineers. Pilots need shipwrights and droid engineers, etc. It's the way they want it to be...
