Thread: Best controller for flight

Need some advice at picking out the best controller for space flight. I am not looking for a joystick but more like a USB handheld such as an xbox or PS controller. Any help is appreciated. What is the most compatible and easiest to use?

The Saitek x52 FCS is the best you can get but it's right hand stick, left hand throttle and rudder ont the stick.
If you allready have a game consolejust buy or make an adapter for the controler you are allready used to useing. Personaly I like the XBox size large control but not for flying. Useing anything but stick and throttle for flying is unnatural.

Don't use a console type controler to fly. Trying to get fine grained control out of those tiny sticks will make you nuts.
IF you've only got 30 ish bucks to spend the only good choice is the Logitek Extreme 3D Pro. Any thing better is over 100. They start out stiff, but break in well. Use your thumb for the throtle or you'll make your self nuts.
What ever you get it has to twist. You need it for rolling. Other wise you might just as well use the mouse.
