Thread: JTL Loot Frequency reduction AND quality?
L10 shields I've looted (and I've looted over thirty of the damn things since starting), have declined in quality across all categories, too.
Either all loot values have been silently lowered, or the ranges have been widened so much that looting an exceptional part is like winning the lottery now (not that it was like shooting fish in a barrel even in the EARLY days, no matter what the Shipwrights claim).

Yep. The shipwrights have been pushing for this like crazy. I loved JTL when it first came out, there is no longer any point in me going up in space anymore. It doesn’t matter that all my components except 2 were crafted, that just wasn’t good enough for them. They want loot to be very rare.
Sadly they will soon realize that no loot=no pilots=no customers
It is another case where the greedy whining few ruin the game for the majority.

Well, look at it from the SW side of things. Everyone complains they are price gouging, but it cost more resources than a guild hall to make a master ship. Capitors can not be crafted to equal loot capitors. Some of the crafted items really have to be crafted well to complete to loot drops, not revesed loot drops, which should be great. Also, now you get a free tier 0 ship with all the trimings and can be modified. Novice SW lost all there possible business in this deal.
Oh, and these things happened without any prior asking of the community how it would affect us. Not even the corrospondents knew of these nerf changes.
So don't go around blaming SW. It started with pilot complaints about prices and devs nerfing without warnings. No where was anyone asked what would make things cheaper and easier on all parties. No, SW got the shaft, so don't start complaining if you got it too.
There is a lot of problems with space, and loot is not the biggest one. Missions and Deep Space i think are the biggest problems. not, i can't find awsome loot cause i don't want to find a SW that i find the prices worth my credits for the quality of the parts. This is the circle of nerfs and devs.
I have to agree for the most part with Kalano on this issue. Everyone needs to take a step back and see the big picture and think this through rationally rather than focusing the blame ona single group of people (be it shipwrights or pilots). Its obvious that there are still game balance issues when it comes to the shipwrights and the items they make versus pilots and theitems they need. Eventually things will be better balanced between the two but it's going to involve a little give and take from both sides since things werequite a bitout of balance when JTL first went online. After some growing pains things hopefully will be satisfactory for bothpilots and shipwrights.

So why not make shipwright stuff better, instead of making loot worse. Like i said numerous times before its easier to nerf then to make something better. In this case its easier to make space loot crap, then it is to improve the shipwrights schematic potential.
