My searches are turning up other topics, and I don't see it in the manual. Is it possible to customize space controls like you do on the ground? All I need is to get to that lil menu if it's there...

You get to the keymap exactly the same way as on the ground. CTRL-O to bring up Options, and then click KEYMAP.

unless my game is screwed up you can only modify them in space.

No, you're completely correct. Should have pointed that out.

Space keymap is different from ground keymap. Can only change yourspace keymap while flying.

ctrl+o, I believe is the default. That'll open up the keymapping options.

Thx all, that worked! The problem was that I use just "O" on the ground for options and not ctrl-O
