Thread: Returning SWG Vet new to space a few questions

Please don't be too rough on me - I left right before JTL went in.
I was reading through the manual and read that:
"When you destroy an enemy ship you automatically receive:
*any credits that the enemy ship was carrying
*the credits held in the ships cargo hold (for transport and capital ships)
*Any special item that the ship was carrying (loot equipment)
*Starship combat experience
*Prestige points (if you are a master of your pilot profession)"
So my question is - if an imperial ship shoots down a rebel ship, do they get the credits of the people on board? If a neutral ship is shot down in space, can it lose items and credits? Can either or any faction lose valuable ship components? I've read through the forums and FAQs a dozen times but haven't seen any mention of this, and I'm assuming it's known.
Also, which ship is the yacht? It wasn't listed on the ship FAQ. I've heard mention of it, but I'm not sure which one it is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it's refering to loot from npc ships, player ships don't lose anything when destroyed( aside from damage to systems).
the yacht is a 180 day veteran reward, type /claimvet in game to receive it.
