Right after disabling and docking with Crystal Smuggler, you get ambushed by 6 Tier 4 craft. The issue is that you have to kill all 6 in about 10minutes. I've got pretty good equipment on my Heavy Tie, but these things have *incredible* maneuverability (relative to me). I can take them out, but I only get through about 3-4 before the mission fails. I've tried calling in a bomber strike, but they're fairly useless. Any ideas? (I'm guildless and new, so while I'd like to bring a friend, I ain't got one).

Also, I've got a concussion 3 launcher with some very nice missiles that IDEALLY I could use. But I can never hold on long enough to get a lock & launch. Is there a way to speed up the lock on?

Depending on what boxes you have, fly a TIE Advanced. Two gunslots will give you more firepower than the Heavy TIE.

Make sure you're running droid programs.

Make sure it's not laggy - honestly, sometimes the server just sucks and doesnt' record all of your hits, kills can take forever. Happened to me in DS tonight, was killing fine, then ships started warping and hits weren't counting.

Beyond that, practice! Here's a hint - if the shields ever drop below 50%, you're wasting shots. That means you've brought down the front and back shields, try to concentrate your fire. I see lots of people chasing targets with 2% shields and 4% armor...

ditch the heavy TIE and get urself a TIE advanced...it has 2 guns which kills things way faster than a 1 gun TIE fighter....u wont have as much mass but ive soloed all my tier 4 missions with it....atm im 4-4-4-3 just completed m last mission i need like 200k till next level...the TIE advanced have about 65k mass..mine has 63k cuz it sucks but oh well i can live with it.......and dont use missiles they just take up mass and u wont really need them....

EDIT: oh yeah and im inquisition to so i kno what u gotta do

My dumb butt went 3-4-3-3 first. I've got a TIE Adv sitting in my inventory as soon as I train though...

First, make sure you are running droid programs, and that you have Cap to Shield Shunt 4 loaded. When they spawn, target the closest one and start shooting. When they get too close, fly right past them and keep going. When you get about 1k out, drop to half speed and turn around, then stop. Target the closest one, and shoot it as it comes into range. Once again, once they go past you, fly in the direction they came from. Repeat as needed until they're dead. Use CtSS4 whenever your shields get low. They should die well within the time limit.

I had an ephiphany and made it through the mission. I changed my missile key to "fire all weapons". When a target hasn't been locked on, it just fires my blasters. But the very second I get a lock, it launches the concussions. That was the split second I was needing. Once I fired 1-2, I switched to my normal guns. Took em down quick. Thx fer the advice all!

hmm, Interesting solution
