Thread: Looking at the KSE statwise:
Truthfully, KSEs have to be one of the worst ships out there, and here is why...
(Tier 5) KSE Firespray: 150k Resources ~210k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 2 missiles
[Spdx 0.9 Acc ? Dec ? Pitch 100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]
Imperials:
(Tier 3) TIE-Bomber: 60k Resources ~190k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 2 missiles
[Spdx 0.85 Acc 10 Dec 15 Pitch 50 Yaw 50 Roll 25]
(Tier 5) TIE-Opp: 150k Resources ~170k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 3 missiles
[Spdx 0.9 Acc 35 Dec 35 Pitch 100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]
The bomber is less manuverable than the KSE, 20k less mass, and has the same guns and missles as a kse, and about 8 million less.
The TIE-Oppressor is same manuvering, same speed, 40k less mass (and if you cant fit all your componets on 170k, your quite odd...) And 1 more missle as the KSE Firespray.
Now, lets take a look at freelancers.
(Tier 5) M22-T Krayt: 150k Resources ~210k mass [SP: 3 Guns MP:+1] 1 missile
[Spdx 0.92 Acc 50? Dec 50? Pitch 100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]
Faster, More guns, same manuvering, same mass as the KSE Firespray, the 2nd missle slot on the KSE... really doesnt make that much of a difference.

(Tier 2) Y-Wing LP: 30k Resources ~170k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 2 missiles

The heavy X-Wing, is much more manuverable than the KSE, and 3 guns, like the m22 krayt, but has abour 30k less mass.
The B-Wing, is less manuverable, and slower than the KSE, but has 30k more mass, but has 2 more guns, and same amount of missles.
The Longprobe Y-Wing, Is somewhat less manuverable, 40k less mass, same guns, same missles.
But, of course, if you just want one so you can have one, go ahead.

How good a ship is has nothing to do with what tier it is or how good you think it should be. I've seen them flown quite well btw. I wish the B-wing had that PYR
The KSE's a decent ship, but I agree with the last sentiment--the worth of the ship isn't all in its stats, but in the pilot flying it.
Having gone 3-1 against X-wings and 1-1 against an A-wing tonight (no, I haven't gone Imp--just some duels in deep space), I have to say again that it's all in knowing how to use your ship to its fullest advantages while minimizing disadvantages. I probably should've gone 2-2 against the X-wings, had the second pilot made a very slight adjustment to his tactics.
