Thread: assigning weapons in master ship, how?

If you have placed weapons in the appropriate slots then all your crew need do is man the turrets.

I just mastered pilot, nuetral, and amd shipwright. Built my own yt, used 150 of my best resources, paid my 100k chassis fee, and loaded all loot and weapons, and poof, went up, and could not shoot. Turrets and all, i went up with friends, says pilot must assign weapons, and i did, I think. I did it as Ive been doing up till now. Help.

I did that, and said only pilot can assign the weapons, i was in seat flying, and friends were in turrets. Is it my keymap?

Perhaps push "G" while in space and assign the weapons to groups?

I put em in the slots the same way Ive been in the previous 8 ships Ive had. I would appreciate it if someone would go step by step with this please. THanks.

If the weapons are loaded, then your crewmembers need to find the turret ladder. You need to be sitting in the turret to fire the turret guns. You cannot fire them from the pilots seat. The "error" you reading is probably the weapon grouping. Basically, you cannot fire these weapons via weapon groups.

The pilot can not assign the turrets to wepon groups because he/she can not controll them. In the 'G' menu you will only see missles, and countermeasures. Are you sure your weapons actually have been loaded on the ship? There is a bug where you assign them but they wont load. The weapons are always automatically assigned to groups you should not have to mess with that. I would suggest, and this will be a pain I know, removing everything from your YT, and redeeding it. Somewhere I believe it thinks the wepons are loaded, but once you are in space they are not. Hence your error message.
