Thread: In-Game Astromech Tutorial badly needed
The game does a very poor job of informing players about droid commands. At the end of Tier 1 your trainer should grab you by the shirt and say, "Look pal, get a computer!" Even a rudimentary education is better than the gaping empty hole we have now. Something that will tell a new pilot that such things exist and that they should seek more information if they are interested.
You know, I really don't mind helping a fellow pilot, but when I have to educate them about droid commands I don't feel like I'm helping. I feel like its a RESCUE operation! Red alert, pilot struggling through tier 3 with no droid commands! Oh well, I doubt they would do anything at this point... but I guess I'm still a dreamer.

Please send it to me. Norram on starsider.
I think if the descriptions of the droid programs were more descriptive, people would be more likely to be interested in using the programs.
I got all the way to the last pre-ace mission in Smuggler's Alliance before I used any droid programs, and looking back, I can see many occasions when Cap to shield shunt and capacitor overload would have come in handy, but I tended to totally ignore that box at every tier. It was always the last box I trained.
I think that the starting pilot trainers ought to have a conversation option where they give you all sorts of information about your newly chosen profession; help in areas beyond just droid programs.
for tier 3, the first box i always train is xxx3, you can use the flight computer with all the commands you need and you fly through tier three with cap to shield shunt.
If someone could mail Oriz or Pecosbill on ahazi that mail it would save me some trouble too, cause i explain them twice a day it seems.
